The Great Debate took place over forty years ago. It was between Drs. Greg L. Bahnsen and Gordon Stein on February 11, 1985, at the University of California (Irvine) before a packed house. It is still considered one of the most significant religious debates in recent times and showcased the presuppositional method of apologetics against an atheist critic.

Dr. Bahnsen, the Christian presuppositionalist, adamantly defended the Faith, arguing that the foundations for logic, science, reasoning, morality, and more are found only in the Christian worldview, and that all attempts for the atheist, Dr. Stein, to seek to disprove or illegitimize Christianity ironically depend on Christianity being true.
